Joanne Todd is Director of FoodBiz Consultancy Ltd based in Auckland, New Zealand. She is an experienced leader in strategic innovation and, with a background in nutrition and marketing, she has strong commercial acumen relating to the development of innovation portfolios.
Joanne is a global leadership professional building a governance career in support of the food industry. Her focus has been on innovation strategies for business growth, through combining technical expertise with skills in business development, marketing, critical thinking, decision making and risk assessments. Prior to this she was Director of the High-Value Nutrition National Science Challenge, where she developed and oversaw a portfolio of nutrition research projects supporting NZ food and beverage companies with their growth aspirations through proving the nutritional benefits of their products.
Joanne joined the Challenge from Fonterra Co-operative Ltd where she held several nutrition and management roles combining business development, science, regulatory and marketing activities with an emphasis on Asian export markets. She has led and developed globally based cross-functional teams to deliver on a portfolio of projects and has built consumer insight, clinical research and product development programs that have delivered successful commercial outcomes.
