Dr Giorgio La Fata is passionate about bringing people together to identify innovative solutions to real world challenges and create value for both individuals and businesses.
His work focuses on supporting the delivery of complex, multi stakeholder initiatives while translating high quality research into tangible, real world outcomes. With particular expertise in the food and beverage sector, applied nutrition, and neuroscience, Giorgio enjoys connecting experts and building trusted partnerships.
Before joining FaBA, Giorgio worked as a Research Manager in the life sciences industry in Switzerland, where he led both internal and external research projects and fostered cross disciplinary collaboration to accelerate the development and launch of novel dietary solutions. He also held a prestigious Marie Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship, conducting research on ageing, cognitive decline, and nutrition across Europe.
Giorgio holds a PhD in Biomedical Science (Neuroscience) from the Flemish Institute of Biotechnology (VIB) at KU Leuven, Belgium. Having worked across Europe and now based in Australia, he brings a strong international perspective to innovation and research translation. He is deeply committed to bridging the gap between research and application and to contributing to initiatives that deliver long term impact across academia and industry.
