With over four years of experience as a Senior Research Assistant, Emma manages the operations, maintenance, and safety of the food technology laboratory and sensory tasting facilities within the Premium Food and Beverage Program.
Having previously worked in administration and as a dental assistant for 7 years in the UK I left the workforce to move to Australia and raise my family.
I support a large number of HDR students, honours/coursework students, postdoctoral staff, chief investigators and industry visitors.
I also manage a sensory panel of up to 30 external participants who perform routine sensory evaluation for research projects in our laboratory as well as our database of nearly 300 consumers which we recruit from for acceptability tastings and focus groups.
