Gain access to CSIRO’s world-class lab and pilot facilities through FaBA
FaBA has partnered with CSIRO to provide industry with access to CSIRO research facilities.
The CSIRO Facilities Access Voucher Program provides eligible participants with access to cutting-edge equipment and expertise, fostering new developments in food and beverage manufacturing.
FaBA Premium Food and Beverage Program Lead Professor Jason Stokes said the program would open doors to world-class facilities that were typically out of reach for smaller companies.
“This program gives businesses access to facilities they normally could not access on their own and will allow businesses to fast-track product development and testing in a highly advanced environment,” Professor Stokes said.
“The facilities available through CSIRO complement those that are already available through FaBA’s three university partners and ensure an even more complete experience for FaBA industry partners.”
The facilities and equipment available to FaBA’s industry participants reside at the CSIRO Food Innovation Centre at Werribee in Victoria, and the CSIRO Biofoundry at the Ecosciences Precinct at Dutton Park and at Coopers Plains in Queensland.
The Access Voucher Program provides financial support to cover equipment and technical costs to deliver projects for FaBA participants that align with FaBA’s mission and projects already being delivered with those participants.
CSIRO Chief Research Scientist Dr Leif Lundin said the partnership with FaBA is strengthening Australia’s food and beverage sector, providing businesses with the tools they need to thrive in a competitive industry.
