FaBA couples with FermenTAS for [bio]dynamic partnership

FaBA has partnered with FermenTasmania, marking an exciting step toward accelerating innovation in fermentation-based food and beverages.

Central to the collaboration is FermentHQ, a new facility developed by FermenTasmania that is designed to drive growth and collaboration for businesses specialising in fermentation – from artisan cheeses and craft brews to sourdough, kimchi and other fine fermented foods.

Through this partnership, FaBA will work closely with FermenTasmania’s makers to deliver co-invested R&D projects, provide data and market analytics, support business strategy, and host learning events on topics such as food manufacturing, sustainability, and AI in the food and beverage sector.

The collaboration is already delivering impact, with FaBA delivering FermentHQ’s inaugural food safety training session in November.

FermenTasmania Chair Kim Seagram said feedback on FaBA’s training was overwhelmingly positive.

“The participants really enjoyed the training and were all very enthusiastic about it. We are really looking forward to working with you – thanks for an excellent start of our working relationship,” Kim said.

Leigh Austin, Quality Assurance Manager, FermentHQ added: “The training was so well received and the way it was delivered and got participants engaged was impressive.”

FaBA’s partnership with FermenTasmania reflects FaBA’s commitment to building strong industry connections and supporting businesses to innovate and grow across Australia.

Together, we’re creating a vibrant ecosystem that combines tradition with cutting-edge technology – and positions Australia as a global leader in fermentation innovation.
